Role Overview:
As a National Procurement Associate I, you will play a pivotal role in the sourcing, procurement, contracting, and management of supplier relationships for non-merchandise products and services that are essential for our operational success.

Key Responsibilities:
In this position, you will be responsible for:

  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Analyzing spend data to inform strategic planning and category development.
  • Overseeing all aspects of sourcing activities, including strategy formulation, research, tendering, contract awarding, and implementation.
  • Facilitating the onboarding of new suppliers and ensuring compliance with contract terms.
  • Acting as a communication bridge within the organization regarding processes and strategies.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors to meet quality, cost, and service targets.
  • Providing comprehensive support to management and leadership.
  • Maintaining an organized filing system and workspace.
  • Training and cross-training team members.
  • Procurement of goods while considering cost, quality, delivery, and service options.
  • Collaborating with team members and effectively communicating relevant information.
  • Ensuring the security and confidentiality of documents and data.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A High School Diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a sourcing role is preferred.
  • A background in Supply Chain Management or a related field is advantageous.

Skills Required:
Essential skills include:

  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Effective time management skills to maximize productivity.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel preferred.
  • Experience with SAP Ariba Software is a plus.

Work Environment:
This role may involve working in an office or a combination of remote and in-office settings, utilizing a computer and office equipment as necessary.
