Position Overview

As a Recreational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the well-being of patients through structured recreational activities. Your expertise will be essential in developing and executing engaging programs that align with the standards set by our organization and the healthcare industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement tailored recreational activities for patients, ensuring they meet therapeutic goals.
  • Provide therapeutic recreation interventions for a designated group of patients.
  • Orient all patients to the recreation therapy services available and facilitate a variety of leisure and social programs.
  • Act as a resource for patients, educating them about community recreational opportunities.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation.
  • Current national certification from NCTRC as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or eligibility to take the certification exam.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or completion within the first 90 days of employment.
