About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Utility Engineer to join our team at DuPont. As a key member of our manufacturing utilities team, you will be responsible for providing technical support to site utilities, powerhouse, and energy distribution equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct work activities and demonstrate leadership behavior consistent with DuPont's Core Values.
  • Ensure operations meet all Delaware state requirements.
  • Provide daily technical support to maintenance operations, including process optimization, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and safety analysis.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for equipment failures and repair techniques during root cause investigations.
  • Provide leadership and guidance for plant shutdown.
  • Work closely with maintenance teams to develop production strategies and systems that improve safety and manufacturing performance.
  • Provide technical leadership and support to plant capital projects, including capital justification, design, process safety assessments, installation, commissioning, and startup activities.
  • Lead and participate in Process Hazard Analyses.
  • Track and ensure compliance with plant operating permits.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve operating procedures.
Requirements
  • Technical Degree (BS, MS) in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex process and production issues using multiple disciplined teams and data-driven analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple, complex, time-sensitive projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong team player with an ability to work closely with all functional teams within the plant.
