About the Role

PacifiCorp is seeking a highly skilled Senior Energy Contract Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Resource Planning department, you will be responsible for managing pre-commercial and commercial energy supply contracts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Project Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and monitor pre-commercial long-term renewable power purchase agreements, contributing to the successful advancement of clean energy technologies.
  • Contract Tracking and Reporting: Track pre-commercial construction performance milestones, lead monthly meetings with suppliers, and manage accurate and up-to-date documentation.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and contract terms through commercial operation of renewable facilities.
  • Renewable and Non-Renewable Energy Agreements: Manage and document the tracking, fulfillment, and enforcement of contractual obligations for complex renewable power purchase agreements, non-renewable long-term power purchase agreements, and transportation service agreements.
  • Dispute Resolution and Contract Amendments: Liaise with counterparty and legal to resolve disputes and finalize contract amendments and metering agreements.
  • Business Process Development: Develop and maintain business processes, systems, and applications to measure contract performance towards obligations with detailed supporting documentation.
  • Energy Supply Agreements: Manage specialized energy supply agreements for large customers, track renewable energy credits sales, and manage monthly settlement processes.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Prepare and submit timely and accurate data for annual 10-K financial reporting, statutorily required filings with regulators, and energy capacity reporting for Integrated Resource Plan and Energy Supply Plan.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years' of contract management experience.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of energy industry, project management, contract management, and applicable federal, state, and local governmental laws and regulations.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to consult with internal and external customers regarding matters/issues which may be sensitive in nature.
