Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Specialist to join our team at Ascension. As a Patient Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Basic Patient Monitoring: Remain at the bedside of assigned patients at all times, unless relieved by an appropriate staff member.
  • Assist with Patient Calming and Reorientation: Help calm and reorient patients in cases of agitation or confusion.
  • Remove Hazards and Report Incidents: Remove visible hazards and broken equipment from the immediate environment and report as necessary.
  • Record Observations: Accurately record all observations and patient interactions.
Requirements
  • Licensure and Certification: BLS Provider certification preferred, American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Certification in Crisis Prevention preferred.
  • Education: High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
