Job Responsibilities

As a Patient Care Specialist, you'll play a vital role in our team, working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN)/(LVN). Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Administering prescribed medications to patients and maintaining related medical records.
  • Presenting medication to patients and observing ingestion or administering medication using specified procedures.
  • Taking vital signs or observing patients to detect response to medication, and reporting reactions.
  • Restocking medication inventories.
  • Providing direct patient care and ensuring resident safety by identifying safety hazards and emergency situations, and initiating corrective action as appropriate.
