Job Summary

Clinical Management Consultants is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to fill the role of Assistant Nurse Manager for our Med/Surg unit. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Nurse Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the unit, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care, and fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Assist the Nurse Manager in daily operations, staff management, and decision-making.
  • Patient Care: Ensure high-quality patient care in accordance with established protocols and standards, promoting a safe and respectful environment for patients and families.
  • Staffing and Scheduling: Coordinate staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage, taking into account the needs of the unit and the skills of the nursing staff.
  • Mentorship and Development: Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to nursing staff, promoting professional growth and development.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, analyzing data and implementing evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting open communication and teamwork among nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of acute care hospital experience in a Med/Surg setting, with previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York, with current BLS certification.
