Job Summary

The Lenovo Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) is seeking a highly skilled Hardware Development Engineer to join our ThinkSystem Server Development organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative server solutions that meet customer and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop complex server designs using x86 architecture and hardware design principles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of server designs with other Lenovo products.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to resolve complex hardware issues and ensure quality and cost-effective solutions for customers.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the datacenter market to ensure Lenovo remains a leader in the industry.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in x86 architecture and hardware design.
  • Proficiency in EDA schematic design tools for PCB schematic creation and physical design activity.
  • Ability to triage and resolve complex hardware issues.

Preferred Requirements

  • Master's Degree.
  • Previous experience in interconnect technologies, DC Power circuit design, and/or High Speed IO bus design.
  • Proficiency in Linux/Windows Operating systems and OS virtualization.
  • Server design experience is strongly preferred.
