We are currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager to become an integral part of our dedicated team.

POSITION OVERVIEW

In this pivotal role within our project management team, you will assist in the oversight of construction projects from inception to completion, while also playing a vital role in nurturing strong client relationships in our rapidly growing business. Your contributions will be essential to our success:

  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers to aid in the planning and execution of various projects.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure that project requirements and objectives are well-defined and understood.
  • Develop detailed project timelines, budgets, and status reports to track progress and ensure compliance with project milestones.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders regarding project developments and maintain open lines of communication.
  • Monitor project progress, identifying and addressing any challenges that may affect timelines or budgets.
  • Assist in the preparation of project proposals, contracts, and other relevant documentation.
  • Conduct site assessments to evaluate progress, identify potential issues, and ensure adherence to project specifications and safety protocols.
  • Support the planning, directing, and coordination of all aspects of construction projects, collaborating with engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Work alongside other Dakota Matting employees to gather data for the development of plans and drawings.
  • Facilitate effective communication among team members, stakeholders, and clients.
  • Assist in preparing and presenting project status reports to senior management and clients.
  • Adapt to evolving project requirements and support various project-related tasks as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

At Dakota, we tackle some of the most challenging access projects in the country. To ensure our success, we are looking for an Assistant Project Manager with the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field; relevant experience may substitute for educational requirements.
  • Ability to thrive in a remote work environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Strategic thinking skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn in a dynamic environment.
