POSITION OVERVIEW
In this essential role within our project management team, you will assist in the oversight of construction initiatives from inception to completion, while also helping to cultivate strong client relationships in our rapidly growing business. Your contributions will be vital to our success:
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers to support the planning and execution of projects.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure project requirements and objectives are clearly articulated and understood.
- Develop detailed project timelines, budgets, and status reports to track progress and ensure compliance with project milestones.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders regarding project developments and maintain transparent communication.
- Monitor project advancement and proactively identify and resolve any issues that may affect timelines or budgets.
- Assist in the creation of project proposals, contracts, and other relevant documentation.
- Conduct site assessments to evaluate progress, identify potential challenges, and ensure adherence to project specifications and safety protocols.
- Support the planning, directing, and coordination of all aspects of the construction project, including collaboration with engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Work alongside other Dakota Matting personnel to gather data for the development of plans and drawings.
- Facilitate effective communication among team members, stakeholders, and clients.
- Assist in preparing and delivering project status reports to senior management and clients.
- Adapt to evolving project requirements and assist with various project-related tasks as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
At Dakota, we tackle some of the most challenging access projects nationwide. To help us successfully execute our initiatives, we are looking for an Assistant Project Manager with the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field; relevant experience may substitute for educational requirements.
- Ability to thrive in a remote work environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Strategic thinking and proactive problem-solving abilities.
- Flexibility and eagerness to learn in a dynamic environment.
