Strength Equipment Assembler

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join our team at Keiser Corporation. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for producing high-quality equipment by assembling parts, sub-assembling items using hardware and small tools, and conducting quality control checks.
Key Responsibilities- Tightening nuts and bolts using various chemicals such as thread lockers, lubricants, and soldering
- Diagnosing electrical, pneumatic, and system quality issues
- Staying current on required employee training
- Suggesting updates and improvements to existing procedures
- Reporting to work as scheduled
- This list is not all-inclusive; management, at its discretion, may assign additional duties
- 6 months previous manufacturing experience
- Ability to read and write English
- Knowledge of reading assembly drawings and diagrams
- On-the-job training with retained knowledge of 8 Keiser strength machines, from both Strength and Infinity series
- 1 year in manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of how Keiser fitness equipment works
- Passion for exercise and wellness
- Knowledge of computer system parts and operating systems
- Frequent standing, lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling with occasional reaching above shoulder level or crouching down low
- Above waist lifting: seldom

- Climbing ladders: seldom
- Lifting: up to 50 lbs.
- Good dexterity in fingers
- 8-hour day shift, 6:00 am-2:00 pm, generally Monday through Friday
- We ask that employees be flexible with hours worked, which may include overtime, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts (when necessary)
- Fast-paced environment with others relying on completion of tasks
- Standing for 8+ hours a day, breaks limited to scheduled meal and rest periods
- Hot/cold environment without AC/heat; fans are available in some areas of the building
- Job tends to be very repetitive so often it is encouraged that employees learn various areas of the department to stay engaged and be more well-rounded
- Dress code is casual: closed-toed work boots or other leather-type material, no tank tops, no shorts
- Eye protection required at all times in the shop
- Foot protection (safety-toed shoes) required at all times
- Ear protection as needed
- Non-Exempt position; Salary range: $18.00 an hour
- Final compensation will be determined and based on experience
- This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs, and other considerations permitted by law
