Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive and meticulous individual to join our Strength Assembly Department. This role involves the assembly of finished products by integrating various components. Candidates may also be responsible for sub-assembling items using tools and hardware. The ideal applicant will possess a strong desire to learn, be open to training, and maintain an exemplary attendance record. Proficiency in interpreting schematics and assembly instructions is essential. Responsibilities include assembling valves, air seals, and minor electronic parts, utilizing hand tools or machinery for assembly, and performing quality assurance checks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Utilizing various chemicals such as thread lockers and lubricants for tightening nuts and bolts
  • Identifying and resolving electrical, pneumatic, and system quality concerns
  • Remaining updated on mandatory employee training
  • Proposing enhancements to existing procedures
  • Adhering to scheduled work hours
  • This list is not exhaustive; management may assign additional tasks as needed
This role is a temp-to-hire opportunity through a third-party agency. Employees will be evaluated after a designated period and may be offered a permanent position based on performance.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Familiarity with interpreting assembly drawings and diagrams
  • On-the-job training with knowledge of 8 Keiser strength machines from both the Strength and Infinity series
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
  • 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Understanding of Keiser fitness equipment functionality
  • Enthusiasm for fitness and wellness
  • Familiarity with computer system components and operating systems
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Regular standing, lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling, with occasional reaching overhead or crouching
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

WORK SCHEDULE
  • 8-hour day shift, typically Monday through Friday
  • Flexibility in hours is required, including potential overtime, weekends, and holidays
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Fast-paced setting where team collaboration is essential
  • Standing for extended periods, with breaks limited to scheduled meal and rest times
  • Exposure to varying temperatures without climate control; fans are available in certain areas
  • Repetitive tasks are common, encouraging cross-training in different departmental areas for engagement
  • Casual dress code: closed-toed work boots or similar footwear, no tank tops or shorts
  • Mandatory eye protection in the shop
  • Safety-toed shoes required at all times
  • Ear protection as necessary
COMPENSATION
  • Non-Exempt position; Salary range: $18.00 per hour
  • Final compensation will be determined based on experience
  • This range represents a good faith estimate of the expected salary for this position, considering various factors
