As a key member of our Corporate Accounting Department, you will play a critical role in overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, and driving process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee daily cash reporting and bank reconciliation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with the Treasury Department to manage newly created bank accounts and associated accounting processes.
- Coordinate with Fund Accounting and Expense & Allocation Management Departments to ensure smooth execution of fund billing, fund refund, and fund liquidation processes.
- Manage the offshore accounting team, providing technical direction and ensuring timely and accurate maintenance of accounting records.
- Oversee the quarter-end close process, including posting of accruals, account reconciliations, fluctuation analysis, and preparation of management reports.
- Review financial calculations and account analyses, creating robust supporting schedules for assigned accounts on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Participate in the implementation of new ERP systems, working with other departments to perform proper testing, designing, and automating processes to maximize new system functionalities.
- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities, driving efficiency and effectiveness in accounting operations.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors in annual audits, completing requests related to the role's subject matter expertise.
- Perform certain key internal control processes, ensuring the integrity of our financial reporting.
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in accounting, with public accounting experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP accounting, operations, account analysis, and management reporting.
- Excellent understanding of business operations and linkage to accounting, enabling the initiation and leadership of process improvements and documentation of standard operating procedures.
- Solid analytical skills and ability to understand and resolve complex problems.
- Specific experience with BPC and Workday systems a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Great organizational skills, with the ability to handle complicated work efficiently and effectively.
- Self-starter with the ability to take initiative, ask questions, detect problems, and provide solutions.
- Ability to multi-task and efficiently manage time across competing activities/resources and manage projects/processes under tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and ability to analyze data and problem-solving.
- Must be a team player with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (and/or equivalent experience).
- CPA or MBA preferred.
