Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Building Engineer to join our team at Lincoln Property Company. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our properties, including performing technical and mechanical functions, conducting maintenance inspections, and troubleshooting facility systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comply with all relevant regulations, including EPA, OSHA, and ASHRAE guidelines, to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire control systems, as well as conduct monthly inspections and complete them on time.
  • Conduct site inspections, including roof and mechanical rooms, to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Troubleshoot and repair facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and minor electrical work, to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Communicate effectively with facility managers, tenants, vendors, employees, and visitors to provide excellent customer service and resolve issues promptly.
  • Provide recommendations and guidance on equipment upgrades and facility improvements to enhance the overall quality of our properties.
  • Travel locally between assigned properties to perform maintenance and inspections.
  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times, adhering to company dress code standards.
  • Manage and maintain an inventory of tools, equipment, and vehicles issued to you.
  • Interact with clients and tenants in a professional manner, providing exceptional service and support.
  • Notify the Regional Operations Manager of any issues or concerns in a timely manner.
  • Assist in coordinating the completion of construction projects and natural disaster recovery efforts.
Requirements
  • Training and certification in HVAC or Operating Engineer technologies, or equivalent technical training and experience.
  • 2 years of field experience or equivalent technical training.
  • CFC training and certification, or ability to obtain certification for the type of refrigerant serviced.
  • Continuing education in the field to stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently with routine supervision.
  • Basic computer skills necessary to operate Building Automation Systems.
  • Familiarity with OSHA, NEC, and NFC codes and regulations.
