About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our team in Tallahassee, Florida. As a key member of our Community Development team, you will be responsible for leading complex infrastructure projects and developing business development strategies for key clients and strategic pursuits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement business development strategies for key clients and strategic pursuits
  • Maintain and strengthen client relationships and play a key role in client management and satisfaction
  • Be involved in local professional societies and represent Stantec in the local community
  • Lead complex community development infrastructure projects with an emphasis on technical and project delivery excellence
  • Mentor and empower junior staff and other team members
  • Plan and manage projects and tasks to complete them on time and within budget
  • Play a key role in maintaining and strengthening the design reputation of the Community Development team
Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in civil engineering, project management, and business development. The ideal candidate will have experience working with private and public sector clients, a strong network of clients and relationships in the north Florida/Gulf Coast market, and a proven track record of success in responding to Requests for Qualifications and Requests for Proposals.

The successful candidate will also have strong leadership, team building, emotional intelligence, relationship, and communication skills, as well as experience managing junior staff, client relationships, and complex projects.
