Our Silicon IP division focuses on enhancing the capabilities of System on Chip (SoC) designs with speed and efficiency. We provide an extensive portfolio of silicon IP, which includes pre-designed components such as logic, memory, interfaces, analog systems, security features, and embedded processors. This enables our clients to meet specific performance, power, and size requirements for their applications, facilitating quicker market entry with minimized risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct technical assistance on Synopsys Designware Logic Libraries to clients, addressing inquiries, providing effective solutions for reported issues, and managing escalations.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, marketing, and fellow Applications Engineers to ensure prompt responses to customer needs.
  • Support the installation, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of Synopsys Designware Logic Libraries.
  • Ensure that client requirements are met and that the product/solution operates fully according to specifications.
  • Engage directly with SolvNet and the Engineering Database to document and track resolutions for customer issues.
  • Create and maintain application notes, FAQs, training materials, and other support documentation to provide clients with easy access to application information.
  • Mentor team members and provide constructive feedback to product and engineering teams for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Typically requires a minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience in either standard cell circuit design or library characterization.

Possesses a solid understanding of ASIC design processes and methodologies, particularly in backend physical design. Familiarity with front-end design processes or experience in Timing signoff, Synthesis, Extraction, and LVS/DRC is advantageous. Previous experience in post-silicon debugging and validation is also beneficial.

Compensation

The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $173,000-$259,000. This position may also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses. Synopsys offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, wellness, and financial benefits as part of a competitive total rewards program. Actual compensation will be determined based on various job-related factors, including location, skills, experience, and education.
