Role Summary:

As a Principal Applications Engineer, you will serve as the primary technical liaison for our Logic Library products within the Synopsys DesignWare Intellectual Property (IP) portfolio. Your role is pivotal in ensuring customer satisfaction and product functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver expert technical support for Synopsys Designware Logic Libraries, addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues effectively.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, marketing, and fellow Applications Engineers to provide timely responses to customer needs.
  • Assist in the installation, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of Logic Library products.
  • Ensure that customer requirements are met and that products operate according to specifications.
  • Utilize SolvNet and the Engineering Database to document and track resolutions for customer issues.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive support materials, including application notes, FAQs, and training resources, to facilitate customer access to information.
  • Mentor team members and provide constructive feedback to product and engineering teams for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

This position typically requires a minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience in standard cell circuit design or library characterization. A solid understanding of ASIC design flow and methodology, particularly in backend physical design processes, is essential. Familiarity with front-end design processes, timing signoff, synthesis, extraction, and LVS/DRC is advantageous. Experience in post-silicon debug and validation is also beneficial.

Compensation:

The base salary range for this role is between $173,000 and $259,000, with potential eligibility for annual bonuses, equity, and other discretionary incentives. Synopsys offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, wellness, and financial benefits.
