At Pathways LA, we are seeking a Child Development Coordinator to join our team of dedicated professionals who share a passion for providing high-quality early care and education services. As a Child Development Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting the growth and development of young children by assisting in the planning, implementation, and facilitation of a developmentally appropriate program.

About the Role

This full-time position offers a competitive salary of $42,000 per year, along with comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 403b retirement contributions, life insurance, and paid time off. Our compensation package also includes flexible spending accounts, employee assistance programs, and adoption assistance.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Assisting in the development and implementation of curriculum that supports overall growth and development of children ages 0-5.
  • Maintaining a safe and attractive learning environment for children, both in and outdoors.
  • Engaging with children during play and daily routines, using assessments and established goals to inform your approach.
  • Working collaboratively with other staff members to ensure effective communication and shared decision-making about site operations and program plans.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have an Associate degree or higher in Early Care and Education (ECE), Child Development (CD), or a related field. You should also possess a Teacher Permit according to the CA Child Development Permit Matrix, as well as at least one year of experience working with children ages 0-5 in an early childhood classroom environment.
