Job Description:

The Project Architect is responsible for leading the development of design work, producing technical drawings and specifications, and coordinating the work of other disciplines. This role assumes construction administration duties on projects of moderate to large size and complexity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage complex projects, providing mentorship and learning opportunities for less experienced staff.
  • Establish design parameters, identify building systems options, and assist in presenting design documents.
  • Formulate project work plans, lead execution of tasks, and assume responsibility for daily activities and technical quality of construction documents.
  • Produce schematic design, design development, and construction documents, and be proficient in architectural graphic standards and construction drawing set organization.
  • Assist in adhering to project schedules and budgets, identifying changes to scope and related repercussions.
  • Advise the Manager of Architecture on staffing requirements and initiate work of the project team, facilitating timely exchange of information.
  • Manage production of construction documents, prepare written addenda, and perform in-house construction administration duties.
  • Familiar with Revit model creation, project set-up, and workset/model management, as well as laser scanning and point clouds.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering; Master's preferred.
  • NCARB certificate required; LEED and WELL Building Certification preferred.
  • Registered Architect required; 15+ years related architecture experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Teams; familiar with BIM360 and point cloud software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, strong attention to detail.
