Job Description:

The Senior Project Architect will direct and be responsible for the development of design work, leading in the production of technical drawings and specifications, coordinating related work of other disciplines, and assuming in-house construction administration duties on large and complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage large, highly complex projects and teams.
  • Provide mentorship and learning opportunities for less experienced staff.
  • Establish design work parameters, identify building systems options, and assist in presenting design documents.
  • Formulate project work plans, lead execution of tasks, and assume primary responsibility for daily activities and technical quality of Construction Documents.
  • Assist Project Manager in adhering to project schedule and budget, and identify changes to scope of work.
  • Advise Manager of Architecture on staffing requirements.
  • Initiate and orchestrate work of project team, facilitate timely exchange of information, and ensure quality control procedures are enforced.
  • Manage production of schematic, design development, and construction documents.
  • Prepare written portion of addenda and bulletins relating to architectural work.
  • Perform in-house construction administration duties, respond to RFI's, review and approve shop drawings, and provide field-representation services.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
  • NCARB certificate required.
  • LEED Certification and WELL Building Certification preferred.
  • Registered Architect.
  • 25+ years related architecture experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Familiarity with BIM360 and point cloud software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
