*The CDCR Headquarters has adopted a new automated recruitment system to enhance the hiring process. Under the general supervision of the Information Technology Manager I in the Offender Management product line, the Information Technology Supervisor II (IT Sup II) will oversee a high-performing team responsible for developing Progressive Web Applications utilizing Vue.JS, Vuetify, and Feathers, while also maintaining and supporting a range of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and legacy applications. The ideal candidate should possess expertise in various programming languages, stay updated on emerging technologies, and have a comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle, along with experience in Project Management Principles, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies. The IT Sup II is expected to remain informed about best practices in security and testing concerning application development.

The incumbent must be familiar with the principles and practices of public administration at the state level, including management, organization, planning, budgeting, and project/contract management. Demonstrating leadership is essential, which includes setting clear expectations, recognizing individual contributions, training and mentoring team members, and employing progressive discipline to enhance individual performance. The incumbent will act as a liaison between the EIS Technical Staff, vendors, and various CDCR Division Program staff.

New candidates to CDCR must undergo a background investigation process, including Live Scan fingerprinting and Tuberculosis testing prior to appointment, followed by annual Tuberculosis testing/evaluation thereafter.
