Position Overview
The Inspector General's Office is in search of a proficient and seasoned Information Technology Specialist III to take on the role of Software Architect within the Development Team of the Information Technology Unit (ITU). This position involves critical responsibilities in the realm of software architecture, development, and implementation of enterprise-level solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in activities that support the discovery, evaluation, architecture, implementation, and delivery of comprehensive software solutions.
- Serve as the technical lead and solution architect, responsible for defining, designing, developing, documenting, coordinating, and integrating software and data services managed by the ITU.
- Implement IT solutions that align with the strategic business objectives of the organization.
- Oversee software architecture, development, integration, testing, deployment, and maintenance of software systems, ensuring user-centric design and effective implementation.
Essential Qualifications:
This role demands a high level of expertise in full-stack software design and development, particularly utilizing Java, PHP, and/or Python within environments such as Docker, Kubernetes, and various cloud platforms. Candidates should possess hands-on experience in application development, with a strong foundation in software architecture and integration patterns.
Familiarity with cloud services such as Azure, AWS, GCP, or state-specific government clouds is essential. A comprehensive understanding of application architecture, interoperability of multi-architectural platforms, and systems integration is required.
