Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Polysomnographic Technician to join our team at State of Franklin Healthcare Associates. As a Polysomnographic Technician, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, analyze, and integrate patient information to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment.
  • Complete and verify documentation to maintain accurate records.
  • Explain pre-testing, testing, and post-testing procedures to patients and answer any questions or concerns.
  • Prepare and calibrate equipment required for testing.
  • Apply electrodes and sensors according to published standards.
  • Perform Positive Airway Pressure (PAP) mask fittings and Home Study Testing (HST) set up and management.
  • Process and comply with Durable Medical Equipment (DME) requirements.
  • Follow procedural protocols for various sleep studies, including MSLT, MWT, parasomnia studies, PAP, oxygen titration, etc.
  • Acquire polysomnographic data while monitoring study-tracing quality to ensure artifact-free signals.
  • Document routine observations, including sleep stages and clinical/significant events.
Requirements
  • Associate degree with an emphasis in polysomnography or completion of a polysomnography program of no less than one year duration associated with a state license and/or a nationally accredited educational facility.
  • Two years of experience and documented proficiency at all competencies required of a Polysomnographic Technologist.
Certifications and Licenses
  • Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist.
