As a Polysomnographic Technician, you will be responsible for performing all functions related to polysomnographic exams and multiple sleep latency testing to provide comprehensive diagnostic evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform all polysomnograms and MSLTs according to clinical practice guidelines, as well as departmental policy and procedures.
- Maintain proper calibration, quality control, and analysis of all polysomnographic equipment.
- Organize and prioritize workload and scheduling of patient testing in an efficient and effective manner.
- Assist with billing documentation and maintain department records according to departmental policy/procedure.
- CPR - American Heart Association certification.
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
Preferred qualifications include an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy, completion of a polysomnography course or approved sleep lab training program, basic EEG course, RPSGT, CRT, RRT, or LPN certification, and sleep study testing experience.
