Aurora Innovation is seeking a highly skilled Global Supply Manager to lead our electromechanical sourcing and purchasing strategy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing our custom electric and mechanical components, ensuring that our Engineering technology requirements are met, and transforming them into favorable sourcing decisions and terms & conditions for the company.
Key Responsibilities:- Work cross-functionally to understand technology requirements and business objectives, such as BOM cost target and program schedule.
- Develop sourcing and negotiation strategies that meet those goals.
- Develop and manage sustainable and positive supplier relationships while achieving our objectives.
- Accurately capture NRE, tooling, capital equipment and material costs, and identify opportunities for cost reduction or cost avoidance.
- Negotiate terms & conditions and prices with suppliers to secure pricing and supply commitment.
- Partner closely with our Legal Team to review/draft and finalize legal agreements such as Purchase/Supply Agreements, SOWs, etc.
- Monitor industry and global market conditions, track technology roadmaps, identify supply and demand challenges and opportunities.
- At least 5 years of experience in Supply Chain (Procurement or Sourcing), or Engineering background.
- Experience in leading vendor negotiations.
- Strong analytical and cost modeling skills, ability to transform data into insight.
- Intellectual curiosity to understand technical reasoning behind sourced parts.
- Ability to influence and convince internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to collaborate well with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Legal, Program Management and Finance.
- Tenacity in solving problems and has a “can do” attitude.
- Thrive in a dynamic, fast-changing environment.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- 5 years of experience managing Custom Electromechanical Assembly.
- Knowledge of how to interpret mechanical drawings, GD&T requirements, and custom finishes.
- Knowledge of PCBA and semiconductors sourcing strategy.
- Ability to conduct cost analysis and comparison to influence mechanical and TLA manufacturing process decisions.
- Project experience managing TLA and subcomponents supply chain.
Aurora Innovation offers a competitive salary range of $135,000-$216,000 per year, as well as an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
