Position Overview:

As a vital contributor to our operations, you will oversee the daily functioning, upkeep, and management of essential systems, including steam boilers, chillers, and HVAC systems within our Central Plant and across the facility.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Guarantee effective maintenance and prompt repairs of all critical systems
  • Keep precise records of preventive maintenance tasks
  • Operate all systems in a safe and efficient manner

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Perform additional service tasks as assigned
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization within work areas

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • A minimum of four years of experience in relevant positions
  • Possess and maintain an active State of Connecticut Occupational License
  • Hold EPA Refrigerant Recovery Certification
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
  • Exhibit proactive problem-solving skills

Required Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of safety protocols and workplace hazards
  • Familiarity with central plant maintenance procedures
  • Experience with building management systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities

Training Needs:

  • Successfully complete technical proficiency assessments
  • Knowledge of safety practices such as OSHA lockout/tag out
  • Training in spill prevention and control strategies
  • Able to operate in confined spaces and work at heights
  • Comprehensive knowledge of departmental regulations

Physical Requirements and Environment:

  • Capability to perform physical tasks and lift weights up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work effectively in varying temperatures and environments
  • Comfortable with different shifts and schedules
