Position Overview:
The Manager of Process Engineering for Robotics Manufacturing will lead a dedicated team focused on the strategic development of large-scale initiatives within the robotics sector. This role is pivotal in enhancing manufacturing processes, systems, and equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
As a leader in this position, you will:

  • Promote and cultivate a culture of inclusivity within the team.
  • Guide and mentor a team responsible for process development and optimization of new product introductions.
  • Implement advancements in technology and tools to achieve targets related to safety, quality, and cost.
  • Conduct thorough process evaluations, including risk and hazard assessments.
  • Oversee the development and validation of processes tailored to new product initiatives.
  • Draft comprehensive business and operational planning documents for capital equipment and infrastructure.
  • Be prepared to travel occasionally to support project needs.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a solid understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Experience in Engineering Management.
  • Proven ability to manage and deliver projects on tight timelines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in designing organizational communications and reporting metrics.
  • Familiarity with project management tools.
  • Experience in New Product Introduction environments, including knowledge of Phase-Gate processes.
  • Expertise in industry-standard problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, Fishbone/Cause-Effect, or CAPA.
  • Experience with quality statistical tools, including PFMEA and various statistical techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:
Ideal candidates may also have:

  • An MBA or an advanced degree in Engineering.
  • A methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience in manufacturing/process improvement methodologies, such as Lean-Six Sigma.
  • Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), ERP systems, and equipment programming.
  • A self-motivated attitude with the ability to resolve issues independently and collaboratively.
  • A willingness to engage hands-on to achieve results.
  • Experience with process optimization tools, including programming, mapping, simulation, or various algorithms.
