About This Opportunity

WSP is seeking a Senior Environmental Project Manager to join our team in Northern California. This role is pivotal in enhancing our environmental consulting services across various sectors.

We are in search of a professional with a robust background in consulting, managing, and executing Environmental Multi-media Remediation initiatives for diverse clients, including those in the Industrial, Government, Energy, Oil & Gas, and Transportation sectors. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about contributing to the growth of our environmental consulting practice in California and the broader West Coast region. WSP's California offices offer a comprehensive array of services in engineering and environmental sciences, encompassing environmental assessments, remediation, water/wastewater engineering, and more.

Your Responsibilities

  • Drive business development efforts within the Oil & Gas and Industrial/Commercial sectors, focusing on environmental remediation and engineering services.
  • Provide oversight and mentorship to project-level geologists and scientists.
  • Lead the preparation of technical documentation and proposals.
  • Engage effectively with Local Business Leaders, Office Managers, Sector Leads, and other senior personnel.
  • Manage multiple projects, ensuring adherence to deliverables, timelines, and budgets.
  • Travel to project sites as necessary to fulfill project objectives and business development activities.
  • Achieve sales, revenue, and delivery targets.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geoscience, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Registered Professional Geologist License in California.
  • Over 10 years of relevant experience in environmental remediation and sales.
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivated with a collaborative spirit.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to mentor and lead engineers and technicians.
  • Demonstrated expertise in project management.
  • Experience with regulatory frameworks such as CERCLA, RCRA, DTSC, and Water Board.
  • Consulting experience in petroleum contamination cleanups and/or chlorinated solvent remediation.
  • Familiarity with soil gas and vapor intrusion issues.
  • Proficient in managing complex environmental remediation projects.
  • Experience overseeing remediation construction and maintenance of environmental projects.
  • Must pass a physical examination and background check, possess a valid driver's license, and meet the company's driving policy.
  • Ability to pass a HAZWOPER physical and fit for duty exam.
  • Compliance with client-mandated drug/alcohol testing policies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Geology, Geoscience, or a related field.
  • PMP Certification.

Compensation:
Expected Salary: $114,400 - $205,000. WSP USA provides this compensation range based on the successful applicant's qualifications and internal equity considerations.
