Role Description:
This position is situated in a vibrant environment that promotes self-directed learning, community involvement, and competitive gaming. The assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the Gaming and Esports Program, focusing on:
  • Event organization
  • Live streaming initiatives
  • Management of lab facilities

Key Responsibilities:
As a member of the team, the assistant will:
  • Implement community engagement strategies to familiarize users with gaming and esports.
  • Collaborate with various academic departments to facilitate classes held in the gaming and esports lab.
  • Oversee the Gaming and Esports Lab during designated evening hours.
  • Assist in organizing outreach events to enhance campus awareness of the esports program.
  • Work alongside other staff to enrich the lab's offerings and improve user satisfaction.
  • Contribute personal interests and expertise to foster the lab's development.

Reporting Structure:
The Graduate Assistant will report directly to the Esports Program Director.

Qualifications:
Applicants must be currently enrolled as graduate students. We seek individuals who possess a strong familiarity with gaming and esports, along with interests or experience in:
  • Event coordination
  • Live streaming
  • Facility management
  • Tournament organization

Desired Skills:
A successful candidate should demonstrate proficiency with technology (both software and hardware), exhibit adaptability, and show a willingness to acquire new skills and undertake various tasks.
