Job Title: Busser - Clubhouse

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Busser to join our team at The Country Club of North Carolina. As a Busser, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dining room and providing exceptional service to our members and guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist servers with set-up, service, and clean-up tasks
  • Serve water to members and guests as they are seated
  • Assist in carrying food trays to tables
  • Remove soiled dishes from tables and bring them to the dish-washing area
  • Replace soiled linen with clean linen
  • Set tables with silverware, glassware, and other items
  • Clean dining room areas
  • Stock servers' stations with supplies
  • Collect trash from dining rooms, grills, and other specified areas after each serving period
  • Dust chairs before and after meals
  • Keep ice bins and buckets filled
  • Set up, empty, and clean the salad bar
  • Clean and store child highchairs and booster seats
  • Collect soiled linen from dining rooms and transfer it to the linen pick-up area
  • Take packaged take-out orders to the reception stand for member pick-up
  • Fold napkins and breadbasket linens
  • Clean up spills, broken service ware, and attend to similar problems during service with minimal disruption to diners
  • Assist the Food and Beverage Manager and other employees in ensuring that the club's policies and procedures for serving alcoholic beverages are consistently followed
  • May assist banquet personnel in setting up, serving, and cleaning up after banquet functions
  • Polish silver service items
  • Attend pre-service training (line-up meeting)
  • Move tables and chairs as needed for the next member and guest diners
  • Re-set tables at the end of the shift for the next meal period
  • Assist with banquet and buffet setup
  • Help maintain a fully stocked buffet
  • Perform other appropriate duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of one year of work experience in a fine dining environment
  • Prior experience in club hospitality is preferred
Work Environment:
  • Work in a hot, humid, and noisy environment
Physical Demands:
  • Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch, and twist or reach
  • Push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds
  • Continuous repetitive motions
