Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement, administer, and maintain cost control systems and procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of cost estimates.
  • Provide cost information to support decision-making and alternative selection.
  • Evaluate and analyze fee proposals/bids and provide recommendations for decision-making.
  • Provide forecasts and cash flow analysis.
  • Maintain and manage the cost report and provide regular updates on the financial position.
  • Assist in the development, validation, and maintenance of the project schedule.
  • Assist in developing reporting tracking tools and generating cost reports on a regular basis, including evaluation of earned value.
  • Build intricate spreadsheets to enable fast and accurate data manipulation of large datasets.
  • Extract data from several sources, transforming it to fit operational needs.
  • Reconcile data to support complete accuracy and create a clean audit trail.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of Cost Control experience.
  • A recognized university degree in Construction Management or a related field.
  • Membership in a relevant professional organization (i.e., RICS, AACEI).
  • Certification or designation from a professional organization is an asset (i.e., MRICS, CCP).
