About the Role

Management Sciences for Health (MSH) is seeking a Technical Director to lead the implementation of a global supply chain and pharmaceutical management project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the technical strategy, approaches, and implementation of the project at the global and country level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and promote a performance improvement culture and processes necessary for ongoing improvement of the program's effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Oversee overall technical approach and technical implementation and field-based activities to ensure efficient, effective, and sound interventions.
  • Contribute to and monitor country development and execution of work plans that meet country requirements and address the needs of USAID.
  • Ensure that program activities are compliant with SOPs and MSH policies.
  • Represent the program to USAID missions and other donors at the country levels.
Task Orders

The Technical Director will be responsible for leading the implementation of one of three task orders:

  • Task Order A: Countries that significantly rely on USAID and/or other donors to directly manage procurement as well as warehousing and/or distribution of donated commodities.
  • Task Order B: Countries that typically manage some donor-procured commodities through their own warehouse and distribution services, or through government-managed third-party service providers.
  • Task Order C: Countries with established national supply chain systems whose sustainability, efficiency, and resilience are concerns for their further improvement and where regulatory systems require strengthening to ensure maximum health impact.
Qualifications
  • A master's degree or higher in supply chain management, public health, international development, or a related field.
  • At least 15 years of professional experience and proven competence managing and providing technical assistance in and across supply chain management, pharmaceutical management, or cross-cutting systems strengthening activities in LMICs.
  • Experience in program management, technical leadership, and oversight of large, complex projects that operate across multiple countries.
