POSITION SUMMARY:


The Senior Financial Analyst – Planning & Operations Analysis is tasked with forecasting, financial analysis, and modeling to support business goals.

This role also involves developing forward-thinking solutions and effectively communicating their potential impact on the overall organization.

We offer flexible work arrangements, including adjustable start and end times, as well as remote work options 1-2 days per week, depending on business needs.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducts routine to complex financial analyses in accordance with established procedures and regulatory standards.
  • Provides financial oversight for designated brand areas.
  • Maintains open communication with key business partners and presents analytical findings to cross-functional teams.
  • Offers analytical support to translate brand strategies into actionable plans.
  • Utilizes data analysis to assess the financial implications of proposed business initiatives.
  • Proactively identifies data discrepancies, investigates causes, and communicates necessary adjustments to relevant accounting departments.
  • Prepares and coordinates various analyses, reports, and scorecards for management review on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
  • Participates in meetings to provide analysis that highlights both successes and areas for improvement.
  • Identifies and communicates emerging trends and their implications to prioritize actions effectively.

ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- A minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible experience in complex financial analysis and reporting.

  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills, initiative, and adaptability in evaluating results.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, prioritize, and resolve problems effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with a commitment to follow-through.
  • Professional curiosity and proactive initiative.
  • Ability to manage projects with minimal supervision.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • MBA, CPA, or a related advanced degree.
  • Familiarity with analytical tools such as R, Alteryx, or robotic process automation.
  • Knowledge of statistics, corporate finance, and/or accounting principles.
  • Experience with financial systems like HFM, Oracle, MicroStrategy BI, or OneStream.
  • Self-starter with a willingness to advocate for necessary changes.
  • Experience in the restaurant industry is advantageous.
