The Senior Business Systems Analyst plays a pivotal role in spearheading business systems analysis initiatives for data integration projects that support various product lines. Acting as a bridge between technical teams, including Quality Assurance, and business stakeholders, the Analyst conducts thorough data integration requirements analysis, develops functional specification documents, crafts user stories, and oversees solution integration testing plans.

Key responsibilities include directing team resources, ensuring adherence to project timelines, following SDLC life cycles, and managing data integration components. Effective coordination among business units, developers, and QA is essential while adhering to project guidelines in both waterfall and Agile methodologies.

Within a Scrum framework, the Analyst collaborates closely with product owners, product managers, and scrum masters to refine backlogs, plan sprints, and deliver service-oriented APIs that expose data from systems of record.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Engage with system of record teams to comprehend available data and integration requirements.
  • Gather necessary information for integration tasks.
  • Execute technical data mappings to ensure effective API design.
  • Collaborate with product managers to establish integration criteria and user stories.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders.
  • Validate designs and ensure data integrity.
  • Employ Agile project management methodologies.
  • Create delivery framework artifacts with appropriate traceability.
Skills & Requirements:

Experience with HL7, FHIR, XML, and data mapping across formats.
Proficiency in SQL queries and Toad software.
Development of integration/API user stories.
Knowledge of Web Service APIs (SOAP, XML, REST, JSON).
Background in Healthcare IT.
Ability to connect business and technical elements.
Experience in Agile development (scrum, SAFe, Kanban).
Skills in writing user stories and acceptance criteria.
Understanding of the healthcare domain.
