About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst II to join our team at AdventHealth. As a Business Analyst II, you will serve as a liaison between clinical and operational service lines, supporting quality and performance measurement initiatives throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain performance measurement processes, including database development, benchmarking, KPI development, systems documentation, and reporting/dashboard deployment.
  • Interact with leadership and quality personnel to facilitate discussions of existing data products, assess unmet analytic needs, and provide recommendations for enhancements.
  • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and provide meaningful data-driven insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Develop key performance indicators (clinical outcomes, cost, length of stay, patient satisfaction, etc.) through gathering requirements, defining specifications, and establishing goals or benchmarks.
  • Manage complex datasets by identifying, aggregating, cleaning, and validating data from multiple sources in preparation for reporting use.
  • Design, develop, and maintain reports, scorecards, and dashboards that provide insight to the organization.
  • Conduct financial and/or operational analyses and interpret results to support business stakeholders in making strategic decisions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with two (2) or more years of relevant experience, preferably in a related field such as business, healthcare, engineering, information systems, or mathematics discipline, or
  • Master's degree with one (1) year of relevant experience, preferably in a related field such as business, healthcare, engineering, information systems, or mathematics discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferably in a related field such as business, healthcare, engineering, information systems, or mathematics discipline, or
  • Master's degree preferably in a related field such as business, healthcare, engineering, information systems, or mathematics discipline, and
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in a related analytic position, and
  • One (1) or more years of experience in a healthcare organization.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Mastery of desktop applications, including MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to a variety of audiences throughout the organization
  • Ability to effectively summarize data, present insights, and facilitate discussion of results
  • Initiative to work independently (self-direction) and ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams for maximum efficiency and effectiveness
  • Attention to detail that ensures follow-through on all assigned projects
  • Experience with data mining/extraction tools
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage efforts across multiple projects and re-establish priorities as necessary to effectively respond to time-sensitive issues and meet deadlines
  • Familiar with data visualization and statistical analysis tools (preferably Power BI, Qlik Products, Tableau, Minitab, R, Stata, or SAS)
  • Familiar with data management tools and techniques (preferably MS Access and SQL)
  • Knowledge of data extraction and analysis of current electronic medical records
