Job Summary

HP is seeking a highly skilled Data Science Leader to join our Digital and Transformation Organization (D&TO). As a key member of our Data Science team, you will be responsible for leading the development of data science models to support our vision of building world-class digital capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leverage structured and unstructured data to build and deploy machine learning or statistical models.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders and DS leadership to assess, develop, and position data science projects to deliver value to the organization.
  • Navigate complex data and business processes to build end-to-end solutions.
  • Engage in multiple projects while coordinating the efforts of more junior team members within the context of each project.
  • Manage all data science aspects of a project, often partnering with project management professionals as part of broader, company-wide engagements.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of statistics and machine learning, specifically regression, classification, and time series methods.
  • Extensive experience applying stats/ML methods to specific business domains (supply chain, planning, marketing, etc.).
  • Ability to translate real-world problems into questions that can be answered via data science models.
  • Expert-level proficiency working with Python and SQL; experience in software development a plus.
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders to transform problem statements to ensure value delivery.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

What We Offer

  • A comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, long-term/short-term disability insurance, employee assistance program, flexible spending account, life insurance, and generous time off policies.
  • A base pay range of $137,000 to $211,000 annually, with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only).
