Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Academic Physician Assistant to join our team. This is a 12-month, full-time Principal Faculty position in the Division of Physician Assistant Education.

Estimated Salary: $125,000 - $150,000 per year

As a Senior Academic Physician Assistant, you will be responsible for teaching, research, and service. Your primary duties will include:

  • Teaching in the Physician Assistant Program, including participation as a lecturer/small group facilitator/course director.
  • Participating in the ongoing schedule of periodic site visits to evaluate students on clinical rotation and the supervision provided by clinical preceptors.
  • Grading student assignments and evaluating student academic and professional development.
  • Developing, implementing, and coordinating curriculum.
  • Evaluating the program through participation in the program's ongoing self-assessment, analysis, and accreditation processes.
  • Providing academic advising support to students throughout the educational program.
  • Participating in the selection of applicants for admission to the PA program.
  • Representing the PA program through service on committees at the University level.
  • Pursuing faculty development in activities outside of the program.

Required Qualifications

  • PA from an accredited academic institution.
  • At least 3 years of clinical practice.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Current NCCPA certification.
  • Eligibility for licensure in the state of Oregon.
