Job Description

A Cyber Security Watch Officer is needed to work at the Pentagon. This person will be responsible for triage of events, cyber incident handling, network analysis and threat detection and trend analysis. This person should be comfortable working in a 24/7 environment that is responsible for all network defense operation and identification of malicious activity.

Compensation:

$48/hr to $58/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefits:

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements:

Secret but can cage a TSSCI.

Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of professional experience; additional related years of experience is accepted in lieu of a degree.

Must have a DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) to start.

CND experience (Protect, Detect, Respond and Sustain) within a Computer Incident Response organization.

Demonstrated understanding of the life cycle of network threats, attacks, attack vectors and methods of exploitation with an understanding of intelligence driven defense and/or Cyber Kill Chain methodology.

Experience in a 24x7 environment
