Cyber Security Project Manager Job Description

The Cyber Security Project Manager will be responsible for managing technology projects within the Cyber Security Department. This includes following best practices and utilizing project management tools, methodologies, and processes to successfully keep projects on budget and schedule through to full implementation and rollout of all hardware and software.

The ideal candidate will have at least ten years' experience and significant hands-on program and project management experience from project initiation to implementation using formal project management methodologies and processes. They will also have experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and using MS Project Office Professional and MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.

The Cyber Security Project Manager will be responsible for directing technical leads and other project team members and consultants/contractors. They will also be responsible for producing weekly program status reports for each program and holding project status and other meetings as necessary.

The successful candidate will have a strong analytical skillset and be able to interact with internal and external stakeholders. They will also have experience with project management tools such as MS Project Server (EPM) and Ariba on Demand.

Certifications such as PMP, CSM, and SAFe 5.5/6 are highly desirable. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a hybrid environment and have excellent communication and writing skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage technology projects within the Cyber Security Department
  • Follow best practices and utilize project management tools, methodologies, and processes
  • Direct technical leads and other project team members and consultants/contractors
  • Produce weekly program status reports for each program
  • Hold project status and other meetings as necessary
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Use MS Project Office Professional and MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Experience with project management tools such as MS Project Server (EPM) and Ariba on Demand

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems or an equivalent combination of work experience, training, and education
  • At least ten years' experience and significant hands-on program and project management experience from project initiation to implementation using formal project management methodologies and processes
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience using MS Project Office Professional and MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Certifications such as PMP, CSM, and SAFe 5.5/6
