Job Description

T-Rex Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Manager to join our team. As a Cyber Security Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, analyzing, mitigating, and responding to threats and adversarial activity. You will work closely with our team to ensure the security and integrity of our systems and data.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in areas such as vulnerability assessment, intrusion prevention and detection, access control and authorization, policy enforcement, application security, protocol analysis, firewall management, incident response, encryption, web-filtering, and advanced threat protection. You will also have experience conducting detailed technical analysis of cybersecurity events and incidents.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of common network ports and protocols, network topologies, and network security device functions. You will also have expertise with packet analysis tools such as Wireshark and be able to perform critical thinking and analysis to investigate cybersecurity alerts.

The Cyber Security Manager will be responsible for supervising and managing a small team of Cyber Network Defense Analysts (CNDAs) within the Network Operations Security Center (NOSC) in support of the government customer. You will also be responsible for managing and conducting hands-on technical detection, analysis, containment, eradication, and remediation as a member of the Incident Response team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cybersecurity metrics and be able to articulate daily challenges to the Government Watch Officer (GWO). You will also have experience analyzing web and host logs for indications of compromise and re-mediate and coordinate the remediation of infected or compromised devices.

The Cyber Security Manager will be responsible for ensuring shift continuity during call-outs and emergencies and compiling incident reports, executive summaries, and analysis reports of intrusions and/or security events. You will also be responsible for documenting and updating processes, workflows, and technical guides.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of DevOps/Agile concepts and processes and be able to perform simple firewall rule changes after training. You will also have experience with NIST SP 800 series or ISO 27000 series documents for information security management and risk assessment.

The annual base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $155,000.
