About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled CMT Engineer to join our team in Louisville, KY. As a key member of our Materials Practice, you will play a crucial role in overseeing laboratory activities, coordinating with field staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality construction materials testing services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development of technical training programs, lab accreditation, and job safety analyses for the Materials Practice Team.
  • Coordinate with hubs and spokes regarding technical materials-related issues.
  • Participate in ATO and construction materials testing practice coordination meetings, providing reporting and other inputs.
  • Interact with field technicians, addressing technical and logistical needs.
  • Provide input for Construction Materials Testing, including management of initiatives, strategy, training, technology, business development, and innovation.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting project plans and specifications.
  • Assist in managing overall quality performance within the Materials Practice Team for compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Manage CMT projects, including project administrative duties, financial performance, supervision of field staff, and more.
  • Abide by WSP's health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that testing services are accomplished consistently with WSP's quality protocol and in an orderly and efficient manner.
  • Play a key role in upholding our company's Quality program and Construction Materials Quality Management System (QMS), guaranteeing that laboratory processes and personnel consistently meet our rigorous standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
  • Candidate shall have, at a minimum, an EIT certificate and actively pursuing licensure.
  • Preferable but not required, 5 or more years of progressively responsible technical experience, management, and leadership of deliverables and/or projects in the Materials Practice.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to communicate across all levels of WSP.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-driven with the ability to organize priorities and multi-task effectively.
  • Proven problem-solving skills in demanding situations.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment with internal and external clients.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, Project, and PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Teams (Channels, SharePoint).
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
