We are seeking a Senior Counsel for Technology and Privacy to enhance our Legal team, supporting various divisions. The ideal candidate will possess over 6 years of relevant experience, ideally from a prestigious law firm or a significant in-house legal department. Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating technology licenses, media vendor agreements, and data privacy contracts, as well as maintaining website terms of use and privacy policies.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to identify and address information security and data privacy legal challenges, manage multiple stakeholders effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Negotiate, draft, and oversee the Company's software and technology-related vendor agreements.
  • Develop and maintain terms of use, privacy policies, and other user-facing documents for our digital platforms.
  • Review and negotiate data protection agreements and assist with privacy assessments.
  • Collaborate across divisions to manage agreement negotiations and ensure compliance with data privacy and information security policies.
  • Act as the primary contact for enforcement actions related to the Company's intellectual property.
Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor Degree.
  • Active member of the California bar or eligible for Registered In-House Counsel status.
  • Minimum of 6 years of legal experience, with at least 4 years in a top-tier law firm; in-house experience with technology transactions is advantageous.
  • Exceptional drafting skills for complex legal transactions.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information and engage with all management levels.
  • A positive attitude and a passion for technology.
