Position Overview:
As a Tax Compliance Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring adherence to local and regional tax obligations related to hospitality and vacation rental sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research on applicable tax regulations for hotel and vacation rental tax collection and remittance.
- Develop comprehensive business rules derived from research to enhance the functionality of back-end tax systems such as Avatax, Vertex, and Trippz.
- Collaborate with development teams to facilitate system implementations and customizations.
- Engage with Business Leadership to recommend best practices and drive process enhancements.
Work Environment:
This position offers a hybrid work model, requiring 2-3 days per week in the office.
Contract Details:
This is a 6-month contract role with the potential for extension.
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $55.00/hr. - $85.00/hr. (approximately $110,000 - $170,000 annualized). Final compensation will be influenced by various factors including relevant experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
