Job Title: Bilingual Youth Engagement Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Bilingual Youth Engagement Specialist to join our team at Berkshire Farm Center. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing direct supervision and support to our youth, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct supervision and engagement of youth, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Search, engage, and redirect youth when they are out of program.
  • Implement daily schedules, including program routines, group activities, and personal hygiene tasks.
  • Assist residents with specified tasks and participate in planning meals and ensuring youth involvement during mealtime.
  • Properly employ protocols and procedures, including reviewing logs and communications daily, providing accurate and timely documentation, and ensuring ratios are met as required by agency and regulatory bodies.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent degree.
  • Employment experience in the child welfare field working with children and/or adolescents in a social service setting, preferred.
  • Ability to converse in English and Spanish.
  • Varicella Vaccine required OR titers indicating varicella immunity OR documentation from a healthcare provider verifying previous infection.
  • MMR (Measles Mumps & Rubella vaccine required OR titers indicating immunity to all three diseases.
  • Tdap (Tetanus-diptheria-pertussis) vaccine required.
  • Influenza vaccine required, one dose annually during flu season.
  • Physical (Medical Exam) required.
  • Must be able to work 9AM-5PM during new hire orientation to complete TCI(Therapeutic Crisis Intervention), CPR and Sanctuary training. Must maintain TCI and CPR certification.
  • Required to be 21 years or older.
  • Must have a current and valid driver's license with acceptable driving history to the Agency.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, outside of normal business hours including nights, weekends and on-call, as needed.
