Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Armed Protective Security Specialist to join our team at Centerra Group. As a Security Operations Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our personnel and property.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent the company as a security professional, providing exceptional service to personnel and visitors.
  • Ensure that all security personnel are properly attired and equipped to perform their duties.
  • Conduct regular post observations and on-the-spot checks to ensure compliance with security protocols.
  • Interface with employees and the public to resolve issues and provide assistance.
  • Operate and maintain the electronic security management system to ensure seamless security operations.
  • Identify and report individuals who violate security regulations and protocols.
  • Conduct internal and external roving foot patrols to deter and detect potential security threats.
  • Respond to alarms and emergencies in a timely and effective manner.
  • Secure entrances and exits during emergencies and maintain control of keys and lock combinations.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders via two-way radio or company-issued cellular phone.
  • Understand and comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Observe and report all incidents and offenses, providing detailed documentation as required.
  • Provide first aid, CPR, and assist during emergencies as necessary.
  • Wear protective body armor as part of the duty uniform and maintain physical fitness, agility, and weapons qualifications.
  • Maintain mandated training requirements and participate in Quality and Process Improvement programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Armed security experience required.
  • BSIS Exposed Firearm Permit with.9mm caliber.
  • 21 years or older.
  • US citizen with a social security card.
  • 3 years of Armed security experience within the past five years.
  • Associate degree in a related field and at least one year of Armed experience.
  • 3 years of military or National Guard (active duty or reserve) experience.
  • Successful completion of a state certified Police Officer's Standard Training (POST) course.
  • Valid, unrestricted automobile driver's license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Fluent in English (read, write, and speak).
  • Capable of passing a background check, medical, and psychological evaluation, and weapons qualification.

Working Conditions
