Key Responsibilities:

  • Patrol industrial and commercial premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure the security of doors, windows, and gates.
  • Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent the passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.
  • Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
  • Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
  • Call the police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
  • Monitor the behavior of residents, visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property.
  • Warn persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehend or evict violators from premises, using force when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Firing permit issued by the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (Required).
  • Relevant security or military or customer services experience.
  • Driver's License or State ID (Required).
  • A GED or High School Diploma.
  • Skill in problem-solving, human interaction, and conflict management.
  • Effective skills in oral and written communication.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with a variety of people and the public.
