As an Armed Security Specialist at Vets Hired, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients' properties and personnel. This role requires a proactive approach to monitoring and responding to various security situations while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control access to the facility, ensuring that only authorized individuals are permitted entry.
- Respond effectively to emergency situations, utilizing appropriate measures as dictated by established protocols.
- Provide a secure environment for all employees and visitors, fostering a sense of safety and trust.
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises, identifying and addressing any potential hazards or security breaches.
- Prepare detailed reports and logs regarding daily activities, incidents, and observations.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with clients, staff, and emergency services when necessary.
- Protect evidence and manage scenes of incidents in accordance with company procedures.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age and a U.S. citizen.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
- Minimum of two years of experience in armed security or law enforcement, or two years of honorable service in the U.S. Armed Forces.
- Ability to meet all state and federal licensing requirements for armed security personnel.
- Proficient in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Working Conditions:
This position may involve exposure to stressful situations and requires the ability to maintain composure under pressure. The role demands physical stamina, including the ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods. You may also be required to work in various environmental conditions and handle sensitive information.
