Job Title: Homeless Outreach Coordinator

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per annum

Bright Beginnings Inc is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing early childhood and family learning centers for families experiencing homelessness. We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the role of Homeless Outreach Coordinator.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing outreach and recruitment strategies to identify and enroll homeless children and families in our programs. This includes conducting intensive outreach, developing partnerships with local service providers and housing agencies, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement annual recruitment plans to ensure full enrollment at all times
  • Conduct parent tours, orientations, and pre-admission interviews to verify eligibility and complete enrollment documentation
  • Analyze outreach and recruitment data to identify trends and patterns and inform future recruitment efforts
  • Maintain active waitlists and track child attendance to ensure ongoing eligibility for Head Start and Early Head Start services

Requirements:

  • Baccalaureate degree in social work, family services, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 2 years of case management experience, preferably with vulnerable populations
  • Strong public speaking and written communication skills, with excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively with colleagues and community partners
  • Familiarity with client confidentiality and HIPAA regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software as needed
