About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL). As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and testing of complex systems and software solutions for our nation's most critical defense, security, space, and science challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of system architectures and designs for complex systems and software solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that system designs meet user needs and mitigate program risks.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and reports to support system development and testing.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and scientists.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in systems engineering and software development.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in systems engineering and software development.
  • Proven track record of leading complex system development projects.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
