The Nuclear Command Communications Systems Group is composed of a diverse array of professionals, including RF communications experts, systems engineers, data analysts, and mathematicians. Our mission is to apply innovative strategies to address real-world defense challenges and assess the performance of NC3 systems through sophisticated modeling and simulation techniques.
As a Systems Engineer, your contributions may include:
- Investigating secure and resilient strategic communication solutions for national security missions.
- Designing and developing software for modeling and simulation, including user interfaces and evaluation tools.
- Automating analysis processes through modern data science techniques.
- Evaluating operational scenarios via modeling, simulation, and laboratory testing.
- Participating in field tests, collecting data, and analyzing results for presentation to stakeholders.
- Conducting performance assessments on strategic communication hardware.
Qualifications:
You are a suitable candidate if you possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field such as Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Systems Engineering.
- A minimum of ten years of experience in systems/software engineering, including design and evaluation.
- Proficiency in algorithm development using programming languages like MATLAB, C++, Java, or Python.
- The ability to identify and resolve technical challenges proactively.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Effective communication skills for technical discussions with various stakeholders.
- The willingness to travel occasionally as required.
- Eligibility for a TS/SCI level security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates will stand out if they have:
- A Master's degree or PhD in a relevant technical discipline.
- Fifteen years of experience in a technical role, with leadership experience.
- Experience working with government and military entities.
- A background in classified programs.
- An active US Top Secret/SCI Security clearance.
